Fitting 800mAh Into a Small Consumer Product

At 800mAh the range is deliberately compact: thicknesses run 5–8 mm and footprints stay small, which makes this an easy capacity to fit into earbud cases, bands and trackers. The main decision is thickness against footprint — a 5 mm cell (5 × 34 × 45 mm) for a slimmer lid, or an 8 mm block (8 × 30 × 35 mm) where you have depth but little length. Measure your usable cavity against the finished size and allow for the PCM and harness on the length. Unsure between 800mAh and 1000mAh?     What products use an 800mAh LiPo battery?

    800mAh is common in earbud charging cases, fitness wearables, key and pet trackers, and small IoT sensors — devices that need a compact cell with a day or more of runtime. Our 800mAh models keep footprints small to suit these enclosures.

    How thin is your slimmest 800mAh cell?

    5 mm (THOR-503445, 5 × 34 × 45 mm). If you need thinner than 5 mm at this capacity, tell us and we will advise whether a different footprint or a nearby capacity fits better.

    How long will 800mAh run my device?

    Roughly, runtime in hours ≈ 800 ÷ your average load in mA. A device drawing 40 mA runs about 20 hours; one drawing 80 mA about 10. Send your average and peak current for a firm figure.

    Should I choose 800mAh or 1000mAh?

    Their sizes overlap, so the better choice usually comes down to your exact cavity and required runtime rather than the number. Send us your space and current draw and we will point to the closest fit.

    Can the connector and wiring be customised at 800mAh?

    Yes. PH2.0 and Molex 1.25 are standard; connector, polarity, wire gauge, lead length and PCM/NTC options are all configurable and confirmed on the drawing.
