Description

THOR-303450 provides 500mAh in a broad, 3mm-thin 34 × 50mm bare-cell footprint. THOR-383046 keeps 500mAh in a smaller 30 × 46mm footprint by increasing thickness to 3.8mm. THOR-503035 shortens the footprint to 30 × 35mm but requires 5mm thickness. Choose THOR-303450 when minimum depth matters more than plan area.

The 3 × 34 × 50mm value is the nominal bare-cell envelope. PCM placement, insulation, lead exit, connector and wire routing can increase finished thickness or length. Verify nearby PCB components, ribs and connector clearance before freezing a shallow enclosure.

At 3.7V nominal and 500mAh, THOR-303450 stores 1.85Wh. Actual runtime depends on load profile, regulator efficiency, cutoff voltage, wireless or display duty cycle, temperature and aging. Capacity and a broad cell area do not establish high-rate performance.

When should I choose THOR-303450 instead of a thicker 500mAh model?

Choose THOR-303450 when the enclosure needs a 3mm nominal cell profile and can accept 34 × 50mm. THOR-383046↗ reduces the footprint to 30 × 46mm at 3.8mm thickness, while THOR-503035↗ shortens it to 30 × 35mm by increasing thickness to 5mm.

What additional clearance is needed beyond 3 × 34 × 50mm?

The exact finished envelope is configuration-dependent. PCM placement, insulation, lead exit, connector body, wire routing, nearby PCB components and enclosure ribs all need clearance beyond the nominal bare cell.

Can 500mAh be used to predict runtime or discharge capability?

No. The rating corresponds to 1.85Wh at 3.7V nominal, but runtime depends on the actual load and system losses. Continuous and peak-current capability must be validated separately with the intended protection and harness.
