Matching 1800mAh to Boxy or Long-and-Narrow Enclosures

1800mAh is where runtime starts to matter more than miniaturisation, and our range reflects that with lengths from about 40 mm up to 112 mm. If your product is a soundbar, a handle-shaped instrument or a slim wand, the long 4 mm-thin format packs 1800mAh into a narrow channel; if it is a compact box, a shorter, thicker cell suits better. As always, dimension against the finished size and leave room for the PCM and harness on the length. Deciding between 1500mAh and 1800mAh usually comes down to whether the extra ~20% runtime is worth the added length — tell us your target hours and cavity and we will advise.

    Do you have a slim 1800mAh cell for a narrow enclosure?

    Yes — THOR-4030112 is 4 mm thick and about 30 × 112 mm, ideal for soundbars, handles and wand-shaped products where you have length but little depth or width.

    How long does 1800mAh run compared with 1500mAh?

    Roughly 20% longer at the same load, since runtime scales with capacity. Whether that is worth the extra physical length depends on your enclosure — send your target hours and available space and we will help you choose between the two.

    Can 1800mAh support higher continuous current?

    Continuous and peak capability depend on the cell’s C-rate and PCM rating; several 1800mAh models handle multi-amp continuous draw. Provide your continuous and peak current and we confirm a suitable cell and protection board.

    What is the difference between bare cell and finished size at 1800mAh?

    The finished battery adds the PCM board, insulation, connector and wire harness — mostly length, slightly thickness — on top of the bare pouch. Design your cavity around the approximate finished size listed for each model.

    Can the connector, wiring and PCM be tailored?

    Yes. PH2.0 and Molex 1.25 are standard; connector, polarity, wire gauge, lead length and PCM/NTC protection are configurable and confirmed on the engineering drawing.
